Tamara has a deep history of community advocacy and an enduring commitment to volunteerism. She is a problem solver and human rights lawyer with a record of delivering results. Having led organisations in both the private and public sectors, including one of the largest human rights tribunals in Canada, Tamara cut red tape, improved access to justice, and made government more efficient.
Smaller, smarter government is key to fixing our economy and restoring hope for our children and grandchildren. Tamara will work tirelessly to restore confidence in government, and deliver recovery-based solutions for our mental health, addictions and public safety crisis.
Tamara has been married to Martin for more than 20 years. They are the proud parents of two teenagers and a rescue pup named Austin. When she’s not knocking on doors, you might find Tamara bartending at the Legion, sport shooting at Nanaimo Fish and Game, volunteering, playing bridge or enjoying a nearby nature trail.
